Venice Airport Private Water Taxi to Your Hotel

The Venice airport private water taxi lets you sit back and watch the scenery as a motorboat carries you across the lagoon to your hotel, or from the hotel to Marco Polo. It is a one-way private transfer for a party of one to six with eight bags.

The boat goes right up to your hotel when it has a canal door of its own. If it does not, you are dropped at the closest pier. Some hotels on smaller canals can only be reached directly when the tide is favourable.

Two levels of service are on offer, both for arrivals and departures:

• Meet and greet, the standard service: a representative meets you in the arrival hall, helps you to the water taxi and handles the porterage
• Full service, the premium one: the representative also goes with you to the hotel and helps with check-in

The pier is roughly 800 metres from the terminal, a few minutes on foot, and the ride lasts about 30 to 40 minutes. Assistance at the airport and the private launch are included, and the porter carries one bag per person. Extra luggage and a night supplement are not included, and the island hotel JW Marriott Isola delle Rose adds a charge payable on arrival. Email the local operator your flight and the hotel's name at least 48 hours before travelling, and tell them in advance if you use a wheelchair, since a specific boat must be booked.
