Description
On this Treviso walking tour with tiramisu tasting, your guide meets you at Bar Venezia by the train station and leads you into a city that lives for good food and wine. Waterways, lively squares and porticoes fill the old centre, which the tour covers in about two and a half hours.
The route looks at the details that give Treviso its character: frescoed buildings, porticoes and the Venetian walls that still frame the town. Along the way you stop at Piazza dei Signori, and follow the Buranelli canal, a picturesque corner of the centre.
- Peschiera Island, home of the local market
- Fontana delle Tette, a fountain with a story your guide tells on the spot
- A tasting stop for the tiramisu, with coffee
Treviso is the birthplace of tiramisu, so the walk includes a tasting of the dessert and a lesson in the original recipe.
When the guided part is over you are free to keep exploring on your own, or stay on for lunch. The tour runs in a group of up to 10 people and can be offered in the morning or in the afternoon.
