Description
The Treviso Airport to Venice bus solves the question every Canova arrival asks: how do I reach the lagoon without wrestling with public transport? From the stop outside the arrivals hall, a marked pedestrian route leads to an air-conditioned express coach with free Wi-Fi, so you can message home that you have landed while the road slips by.
The coach is the only public service that goes from the airport straight to Piazzale Roma, on the main island of Venice, in about 40 minutes and with no changes. Step off and you are already in the city: from there you walk to your accommodation or hop on a water-bus.
- Piazzale Roma, the final stop in Venice, about 40 minutes from the airport
- Mestre railway station, the first stop, around 30 minutes from the airport
- Luggage allowance and free Wi-Fi on board
The ticket works for a single ride or as a return, depending on the option you pick. The return is open: keep the ticket after the outbound journey, because the same QR code is valid for the way back. Going to the airport takes the same 30 minutes from Mestre and 40 from Venice, but there is no seat reservation, so look at the timetable in the photo section before you plan the day. For a flight, allow plenty of margin at the airport.
