Description

A Prosecco Hills tour from Venice by van: a family-run winery with four Valdobbiadene DOCG wines and a light lunch, an Aperol Spritz on a terrace, then the town of Asolo.

This Prosecco Hills tour from Venice leaves from Piazzale Roma and reaches the vineyards in under an hour, in a comfortable air-conditioned van. The hills are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the road winds through rows of vines and small villages, far from the crowds of Venice. The whole trip takes about seven hours.

The first stop is a family-run vineyard, chosen over the big tourist wineries. A guide explains how the wine is made, and you taste four different glasses of Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG alongside a light lunch of local home-made salami, cheese and bread.

Next comes an Aperol Spritz with snacks on a panoramic terrace that faces the Valdobbiadene hills. The day ends in Asolo, a medieval hill town of cobbled alleys, stone houses, frescoed loggias and artisan workshops, with views over the surrounding vineyards. In the late afternoon the van brings you back to the meeting point in Venice.
